Human

"Human" means relating to or belonging to a person or people, as opposed to animals. Humans are bipedal primates that belong to the genus Homo, especially the species Homo sapiens, or modern humans. Humans are anatomically similar to great apes, but have a more developed brain and the ability for articulate speech and abstract reasoning.

The name "Homo sapiens" means "wise man" or "knowledgeable man". Humans first evolved in Africa, and much of human evolution occurred on that continent. The fossils of early humans who lived between 6 and 2 million years ago come entirely from Africa. Modern humans have been around for around 200,000 years.
